Purple Penguin These are the facts. - (Category: Flintlocked )

A simple glance between the timestamp of this post and the last betrays a terrible reality where no progress has been made on the Flintlocked project. With heavy heart I regret to post that “YES IT HAS STALLED.” But I do not believe it to be dead; only sleeping.

We have some truly excellent team members, people like artist Mike Scott. Currently, Mike is cartooning his hilarious characters Bru and Boegie. So yes, we have lives too, but if we had more lives working on this project it would create real momentum (and Mike, if you can read this, please come back to us!!!).

So if you can draw, we want you! If you can program, we want you! If you are a musician, it’s okay – I got that covered. But we need contributors with a lot of heart. That’s all this project had when it started, and that’s exactly what it’ll need if it’s going to get finished.

Welcome to the official website for the Sam and Max: Flintlocked video games. Look around, have fun, and check out our forums if you have any questions, comments, or just a need to chat. Make sure to read the official Rules and Regulations first, though, and remember to have fun.

Also, Steve Purcell wishes us Happy New Year with his annual New Year's Picture. Check it out here. We must apologize for any bugs in the site, it's nearly done but we're still working out a few bugs.

Now, begone with you! Have fun exploring the website and be sure to tell your friends about the Flintlocked project!

SMNMX Sam & Max: The Webcomic and More! - (Category: Sam & Max )

The first two new pages Sam and Max comic goodness, entitled "The Big Sleep," are now viewable for free at Telltalegames.com. Make sure you mouse over the panels to see everything this great new style has to offer, and click the Previous button to see the first page, as the story actually begins here. The official site is sadly still empty, but soon it too will hopefully host these pages.

Also, in a new interview, Steve Purcell has mentioned the release of "a new chunk of comic material" next year, which may or may not be related to the webcomic. However, this new material will make Purcell consider the possibility of a new trade paperback, so you might want to think twice about bidding on that $100 "Surfing the Highway" book on eBay.

SMNMX Sam And Max 2 Lives!!! - (Category: Sam & Max )
Posted by SMNMX on Thursday 15th September 2005 @ 6:08 PM - Comments: 0

Well, it's finally happened. Sam and Max 2 will be released as a commercial game! Telltale Games, who just released their first adventure game (based on the first book in the epic Bone comic saga) for download, and along with it comes the announcement of Sam and Max 2!

This fangame was originally started to protest the cancellation of Sam and Max: Freelance Police. Well, it looks like we'll never see that game (unless Telltale finds some way to get back their old code from LEC), but we will get a new game from the coolest company on Earth.

Read the announcement on your favorite adventure game news site, samandmax.net, or samandmax.com. Then head over to Telltalegames.com and download Bone: Out From Bonevill to support the one company taking adventures into the next generation!
